Jean Bolognia, MD

Keynote Speaker: Jean Bolognia, MD, is Professor of Dermatology at the Yale University School of Medicine. She has served as President of the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS), the Medical Dermatology Society (MDS), and the American Dermatological Association, in addition to serving as Vice-President of the Society of Investigative Dermatology, the American Board of Dermatology, and the International Society of Dermatology. She has also been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) and was Secretary-General of the latter organization. Her honors include the Gold Medal from the AAD, the Medal for Achievements in Global Dermatology from the IILDS, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the MDS, the Lifetime Career Educator Award from the Dermatology Foundation, and last but not least, the Legacy and Rose Hirschler Awards from the WDS. Jean is the senior editor of the textbooks Dermatology and Dermatology Essentials, which are in their fifth and second editions, respectively, and have been translated into nine languages. |
Jennifer N. Choi, MD

Plenary Speaker: Dr. Jennifer Choi is a Professor of Dermatology and the Vice Chair for Academic and Faculty Affairs in the Department of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she also serves as Assistant Designated Institutional Official for Graduate Medical Education. A nationally recognized leader in oncodermatology, she provides specialized dermatologic care for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Her clinical expertise centers on the recognition and management of the mucocutaneous complications of cancer therapy, including the cutaneous toxicities of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation; skin infections in immunosuppressed hosts; and the dermatologic sequelae of hematopoietic stem cell and solid organ transplantation. She directs multiple clinical research trials focused on preventing and treating the cutaneous side effects of cancer therapy, advancing evidence-based care in a rapidly evolving field. Dr. Choi also cares for patients with melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, and rare cutaneous malignancies. She maintains a comprehensive medical and surgical dermatology practice and brings extensive experience with complex therapeutics, including biologic agents, systemic immunosuppressants, intralesional therapies, and phototherapy.
Dr. Choi earned her BA from Harvard University and her MD from Yale University School of Medicine. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School and a residency in Dermatology at Yale, where she served as Chief Resident. She subsequently spent eight years on the Yale faculty as Assistant Professor of Dermatology. In 2015, she joined Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine as Associate Professor of Dermatology and was promoted to Professor of Dermatology in 2022. She joined UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2026. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband, their three beautiful daughters, and the family's Cavapoo.

Seemal Desai, MD

Plenary Speaker: Dr. Seemal Desai is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and a Board Certified Dermatologist. He graduated with honors from Emory University. He received his medical training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Magna Cum Laude with honors. Following medical school, Dr. Desai completed his medical internship in Internal Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and served as Chief Resident for the Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Desai has been active on a local, state, and national level with numerous medical organizations, and is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. He is the Founder & Medical Director of Innovative Dermatology, a state-of-the-art private practice in the Dallas area, and also serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Desai is the author of hundred of publications and has been invited to present at countless national and international Dermatology events. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of vitiligo, and other disorders of pigmentation, psoriasis, acne, skin disease in skin of color, cosmeceuticals, and new drug therapies. Dr. Desai is very active in the dermatologic community and is the Past President of the Skin of Color Society, and Past President of the Texas Dermatological Society. In addition, he is a Past President of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Dermatological Society. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Dermatology, the Board of Directors of the Global Vitiligo Foundation, the Board of SkinPAC and previously on the Board of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the Skin of Color Society. In 2017, Dr. Desai was elected to the American Academy of Dermatology Board of Directors, and also served on the AAD Executive Committee. Most prominently, Dr. Desai just completed his term as President of the American Academy of Dermatology, and is the youngest dermatologist to ever be elected AAD President. He began his term as AAD President-Elect in 2023, and as AAD President in 2024. In June of 2025, Dr. Desai began his term as President of the Global Vitiligo Foundation. In 2017, and again in 2021, Dr. Desai was appointed to serve on the US Food & Drug Administration, Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC), and is the only dermatologist on this federal hearing committee. He was reappointed to another full 4 year term in 2021. He also serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical & Aesthetic Dermatology and Pigment International. He has given over 150+ lectures nationally and internationally, and is passionate about advocacy and advancement of our specialty. He is married and has one daughter and one son.

Susan C. Taylor, MD

Plenary Speaker: Dr. Susan C. Taylor, MD is an internationally recognized dermatologist, educator, and researcher whose pioneering work has transformed the care of skin, hair, and nail disorders, particularly in patients with skin of color. She is the Bernett L. Johnson, Jr., M.D. Professor of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, founder of the Skin of Color Society, and the editor of numerous influential textbooks, including the landmark Taylor and Kelly’s Dermatology for Skin of Color, a foundational resource for clinicians worldwide. In 2025 she had the distinction of serving as President of the American Academy of Dermatology.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Taylor has combined clinical excellence with a lifelong commitment to mentorship, scholarship, and patient advocacy.
